This page lists every published version of Top Video Downloader with its date and changes. The app checks for updates on launch, downloads them in the background and verifies the signature before installing, so updating is usually one click on Restart.

• Playlists, channels and profiles from a single link (up to 1,000 videos, pick All or First N), TikTok and Instagram profiles, and batch import of links from a .txt file.
• Channel and playlist subscriptions: new videos download on their own (checked every 6 hours) and never spend credits.
• Clips and SponsorBlock: download only part of a video by time or chapter, and mark or cut sponsor segments on YouTube.
• Audio and subtitles: MP3, M4A, Opus, FLAC and WAV; subtitles embedded or as a separate .srt; cover art, tags and chapters embedded in the file.
• New sign-in options and plans: sign in with an emailed code, Google or Telegram; lifetime for 2 computers and family lifetime for 3; new credit prices.
• Download control: a real pause that resumes where it stopped, a speed limit, proxy support, and 1 to 5 downloads at once.
• Everyday comfort: history search and Download again, filename templates, clipboard link offers, one-click presets, a tray icon, notifications and a light theme.
• Fixed 2K and 4K on YouTube: choosing 1440p or 4K used to download the 1080p version; now the file comes in the quality you picked (usually as MKV).
• Updates and transparency: updates download in the background, yt-dlp updates separately through a signed channel, a Russian Windows installer, and a public site status page.
• Closing, quitting or updating no longer loses downloads: the app suspends running downloads for up to 8 seconds, keeps the partial files and offers to resume them at the next start; on Windows, yt-dlp and ffmpeg cannot outlive the app.
• Updates install only after downloads have stopped.
• Crash recovery never loses or double-charges a credit: a finished download is counted once, an interrupted one is offered for resume and its credit is released.
• Your sign-in is bound to this computer, and a locked keychain is no longer treated as being signed out.

0.1.6 — 2026-10-06

• macOS and Linux now remember your sign-in: the account, device and platform logins are kept in the system keychain.
• If the server signed this device out (for example, it was replaced by another one), the app now says so and offers to sign in again.
• Purchases confirm themselves: after you pay, the Store notices the payment and updates your balance on its own.
• Diagnostics for support: Settings can copy a short log with all links removed.
• The 3 trial downloads without an account are now counted on our server, so a reinstall does not reset them.
• Clearer texts: the free plan is 10 downloads a day up to 720p, and the license key is shown only once, so save it.

0.1.5 — 2026-10-06

• The app no longer forgets your account: sign-in now renews itself at launch, every few hours and right before a download.
• Saving a platform login no longer cancels running downloads.
• Cancelling a download no longer deletes the file of a neighbouring download with a similar name.
• No more stuck downloads or format checks on titles with unusual characters or on sites that stop answering.
• Downloads start 1–3 seconds sooner after Check formats.
• Updated engine: yt-dlp 2026.08.19 and deno 2.9.7, including the official TikTok fix.

0.1.4 — 2026-08-17

• TikTok downloads work again: since August 10 every TikTok link failed. The full story is in our incident write-up.
• A clearer error when a site changes: instead of "unknown reason", the app says it couldn't read the page and that an update may help.

0.1.3 — 2026-07-28

• Fixed start-up: version 0.1.2 opened for a moment and closed. If you have 0.1.2, install 0.1.3 over it.
• Restart & install on Windows now really installs the update and shows the permission prompt.

0.1.2 — 2026-07-28

• An Open button in the queue and history shows the finished file in its folder, and says so if the file was moved or deleted.
• Updated download engine: yt-dlp 2026.07.04.
• Very fast downloads no longer get stuck on "Waiting for a free slot".
• Cancelling one download no longer disturbs others in the same folder, and closing the app now stops downloads.
• No more endless spinner when our server does not answer; if it cannot be reached, the app says so plainly.
• Your chosen download folder no longer resets during a slow start-up.

0.1.1 — 2026-07-03

• Platform logins for 20 sites right inside the app, for private, age-restricted and subscriber-only videos. Logins are encrypted and stay on your computer.
• "Continue with Google / Facebook / Apple" works in sign-in windows.
• 60+ more sites download without any login, each one verified end to end.
• A 403 from bot protection is now retried automatically with a browser identity, which fixed Rumble, Kick, 9GAG and Dailymotion.
• Fixed "No downloadable video found" on VK, OK.ru, Dzen, Mail.ru, Twitch clips and Telegram, with a new Best available option.
• When a video can't be stored as MP4, it is saved as MKV instead of failing.
