Pinterest is built around pictures, so saving a video pin to your computer isn't obvious. Top Video Downloader handles it with one pasted link, and it is the same app you would use for YouTube, TikTok or Instagram.

How to download Pinterest videos on PC

   Open the pin. Copy the browser address, which looks like pinterest.com/pin/123…/, or tap Share → Copy link in the Pinterest app.

   Paste it into Top Video Downloader and click Check formats.

   Pick a quality. No Audio only row in the list? Then the video has no sound track at all, which is common on Pinterest.

Which Pinterest links work?

• pinterest.com/pin/…: the standard pin link, and the kind our daily check downloads.
• in.pinterest.com/pin/…, uk.pinterest.com/pin/… and other country subdomains: the same site, so they work the same way.
• pin.it/…: the short link from Share. Not part of our tests; if it fails, open it in a browser and copy the full pinterest.com/pin/ address.
• Boards and profiles: not tested. Use links to individual pins for reliable results.

Saving a whole mood board's worth of videos? Paste several pin links at once, or put them in a .txt file and use Import a list of links. The app takes up to 1000 links at a time, and each one counts as one download.

Why there is no Pinterest login in the app

Platform logins covers 20 sites, and Pinterest isn't one of them. Video in public pins opens without an account; our daily test downloads a Pinterest pin with no login at all. The flip side: secret boards and pins that only show after you sign in can't be downloaded. If your browser needs a login to play the pin, the app won't get it either.

Pinterest video quality and the free plan

Pinterest re-encodes uploads and stores them in a few sizes. The app lists them by frame height and saves your pick as MP4. A free account gives 10 downloads a day up to 720p, and the limit counts height. Pinterest videos are often vertical, so a 720×1280 version is already 1280 pixels tall and costs 1 credit. Each row shows Free or 1 credit before you start. A subscription or lifetime plan removes the limit; see pricing.

Pinterest video not downloading? Common causes

• The app says there is nothing to download: the pin holds an image or an animated image, not a video. The app saves video and audio, not pictures.
• The pin points to another site: many pins just link to a YouTube video or similar. Open the source and download it from there, for example with our YouTube guide.
• "Unavailable": the pin was deleted or is visible only to its owner.
• "Site changed": Pinterest changed its pages and the yt-dlp engine needs an update, which 2.0 receives separately from app releases, signature-checked. Today's platform results are on the status page.
• No sound in the file: plenty of Pinterest videos are uploaded silent. If the quality list had no Audio only row, the original has no audio either.
