Download videos from other sites: Bilibili, Rumble, Kick and dozens more
Updated October 7, 2026 · tested with version 2.0.0
Beyond the big platforms, Top Video Downloader saves video and audio from Bilibili, Niconico, Dzen, Coub, Rumble, Kick, Streamable, Bandcamp, 9GAG, Tumblr and other sites. Most work without a login; LinkedIn, Patreon and Boosty need your own account. We check 63 platforms daily, and you can test any other link in seconds.
- Checked daily
- 63 platforms, one real video each, with no login
- Login needed
- LinkedIn, Patreon, Boosty, Udemy, Nebula, CuriosityStream: only what your account can access
- Engine
- yt-dlp and ffmpeg, bundled with the installer
- Free plan
- 3 trial downloads; a free account gets 10 a day up to 720p
How to check if a site works
- 1
Copy the link to the page of one specific video or track, not the home page or a search.
- 2
Paste it into Top Video Downloader and click Choose quality. Checking costs nothing: a credit or free download only counts once a file is actually downloaded.
- 3
If a list of qualities appears, the site is supported. Pick one and click Add to queue.
- 4
If you get an error, look at its type. "Sign-in required": log in under Platform logins if the site is listed there. "Geo-restricted": the video is blocked in your country. "Site changed": the site was updated and the engine needs an update. "No downloadable video or audio was found at this link": the page has no video, or the site isn't supported.
Today's daily check result for every platform is on the status page. To be straight about the numbers: 63 out of 63 almost never happens. The first runs in October 2026 passed on 49 to 50 platforms, because some sites block requests from data centers and some test links go stale. A site marked as failing there may work fine from your home connection.
Video sites that work without a login
| Site | Without login? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bilibili | Yes; login optional | bilibili.com/video/… and short b23.tv/… links. It throws errors under frequent requests; try again later |
| Niconico | Yes; login optional | nicovideo.jp/watch/sm… and nico.ms/…; a login unlocks what your account can see |
| Dzen | Yes | dzen.ru/video/watch/… videos |
| Coub | Yes | coub.com/view/… |
| Rumble | Yes | Bot-protected: on a 403 the app retries on its own while presenting itself as Chrome |
| Kick | Yes | The daily check uses clips, kick.com/channel?clip=…; for stream recordings see live streams |
| Streamable | Yes | streamable.com/code |
| 9GAG | Yes | 9gag.com/gag/…; same automatic 403 retry as Rumble |
| Tumblr | Yes | Video posts at ….tumblr.com/post/… |
| Yes | Video pins at pinterest.com/pin/… | |
| Telegram | Yes, public channels | A post link like t.me/channel/123 |
| Mail.ru Video, Odysee, BitChute, PeerTube | Yes | PeerTube is a network of servers; we check one of them |
| Loom | Yes, public links | loom.com/share/…; "Download only a part" is unreliable on Loom, so download the whole video |
| Medal.tv, TED | Yes | Gaming clips and TED talks |
| Internet Archive | Yes | Some old videos use the Theora codec and are saved as MKV instead of MP4 |
| Weibo, Youku, Naver TV, CHZZK, SOOP, CDA | Yes | Some videos are limited to certain countries |
| Google Drive, Dropbox | Public files only | The link must be shared with anyone who has it |
Music and audio sites
| Site | Without login? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| SoundCloud | Yes; login optional | Full walkthrough in the SoundCloud guide |
| Bandcamp | Yes | Tracks at artist.bandcamp.com/track/…, as far as they're open for streaming |
| Mixcloud, hearthis.at | Yes | Mixes and DJ sets |
| Jamendo, Freesound | Yes | Freely licensed music and sounds |
Audio is saved as MP3, M4A, Opus, FLAC or WAV at 128 to 320 kbps or Best, with the cover and title embedded. Audio-only downloads count toward the free daily quota.
News and TV sites
The daily check covers NBC News, ABC News, Fox News, CNBC, Bloomberg, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, DW, ARD Mediathek, Arte, RTVE, SRF, NRK, ABC (Australia), PBS, NTV, Olympics.com and MLB. "Geo-restricted" is most common here, because broadcasters often show videos only in their home country. Bloomberg and The New York Times have tough bot protection and pass the check less often than the rest.
Sites that need a login
| Site | Without login? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| No | Videos in posts, after you log in; not part of the daily check | |
| Patreon, Boosty | No | Only posts your own membership gives you access to |
| Udemy | No | Only courses you bought; DRM-protected lectures don't download |
| Nebula, CuriosityStream | No | Only with your own subscription to the service |
Log in under Platform logins: the window opens the site's own login page, and after signing in you click Save login. Cookies are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the key sits in your system's keystore, and nothing is sent to our server. Instagram, Facebook and X also need a login and have their own guides: Instagram, Facebook, X.
What the app won't download
- DRM-protected video: films and series on paid streaming services are not supported.
- Paid content you don't have access to: the app doesn't get around subscriptions or paywalls; it only works with what your account can open.
- Password-protected videos: there is no field for a video password.
- Images and photo albums: the app saves video and audio.
Your site isn't listed? If the yt-dlp engine supports it, the link will most likely work; we just don't test that site every day. More on how the app relates to yt-dlp in yt-dlp with a GUI. Only download what you have the right to: see is it legal to download videos.
Download Top Video Downloader
Free: 3 downloads without an account, then 10 a day up to 720p, no ads. 4K and unlimited downloads come with a subscription, a lifetime plan or credits.
Top Video Downloader is a desktop app
It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Send the link to yourself to open it on your computer, or join the waitlist for a phone version.
Can I download videos from any website?
Not from every website, but from a great many. The app runs on the yt-dlp engine: we check 63 platforms every day, and sites yt-dlp supports usually work even without our daily check. What won't download: DRM-protected video, paid content you can't access, and password-protected videos.
How do I know if a site is supported?
Paste the link to a video page and click Choose quality. If a list of qualities appears, the site is supported. Checking costs nothing: a free download or credit only counts once a file is actually saved. Daily results for the 63 platforms are on the status page.
Why is a site marked as failing on the status page?
The check runs from a data-center server, with no login and one test link per site. Some sites block that kind of traffic, and some test videos disappear. That's why a site marked as failing on the status page often works from a home connection, so try your own link.
Can I download videos from Patreon?
Yes, if the post is open to your account. Log in to Patreon (or Boosty) under Platform logins, click Save login, and paste the post link. The app doesn't get around memberships, so posts you don't pay for won't download. Cookies are encrypted and stay on your computer.
Can it download Netflix or other paid streaming services?
No. DRM-protected video is not supported, and the app can't and won't get around that protection. It's built for open videos, your own content, and material you have lawful access to. For the legal side of things, see the page on whether downloading videos is legal.
